I've been a working artist my entire adult life, working mostly in graphic design, murals, chalk pastels and the music industry (as a singer-songwriter). Around 1999 to 2000 I began working in oils on canvas with a strong desire to learn all I could about the medium. I returned to school and studied painting. When my family moved to Northern Westchester in the suburbs of New York City, I began to paint landscapes in our wooded backyard. Landscape, as a subject matter, had never occurred to me previously. It opened up my way of seeing and has been my home ever since.
For the past two years I have been engaged in discovering my latest paintings. They are completely different than, and yet a culmination of, all of my previous work. There's no going backward from here. More soon.
